What is the difference between class and type?

Class and Type are both used to describe the tools you have in the system. With the GigaTrak systems, classes and types are tied to one another in a hierarchy manner; Class is the “parent” and type is the “child”. An example might be as follows:

Class: Hand tools

Types: Wrenches, Hammers, Screwdrivers, etc.
