We have an existing record in (ATS/TTS) that we simply want to change to a binned item, but when we edit that record it doesn’t allow that.

Question: How do we change an item we have in the (ATS/TTS) database to a binned item? (When we edit that record it doesn’t allow that.)

Answer: You can’t. Once an item is designated as a ‘binned’ item, a ‘container’, or a ‘unique’ (neither ‘bin’ nor ‘container’) item, that designation cannot be changed.

You can edit any other data in the item record except for those designations.

So, If an item is ‘binned’, such as a group of wrenches, it’s always ‘binned’.

If a Ladder is given a barcode, and neither ‘container’ nor ‘binned’ are selected, it’s always going to be a ‘unique’ ladder.
