User licenses exceeded; users can’t log into GigaTrak software
Question: User licenses exceeded’ message displayed with someone tries to log on; no one can log on, and no one knows who is logged in. How to we clear this error?
Answer: Your GigaTrak software is licensed per ‘concurrent’ user. If users log on and exceed the number of user licenses available, a message screen will pop up indicating “Maximum number of user licenses exceeded”.
When this error occurs, the screen that pops up will show the computer names that are logged in. Someone will then need to have access to one of those computers in order to exit an application session. That will release a license.
If you don’t have access to a particular computer, or are unable to determine where it is, there is a hidden function to sever all workstation/user logon connections to the GigaTrak database. Double-click on the GigaTrak logo on the screen message window that appears when this error occurs. A secondary window will appear requesting a password code from GigaTrak.
