STS – Handheld Check Out and Return functions options for Serial Number, Lot Number, Expiration Date, Work Order & Account Number
Question: I’m trying to check out some inventory on the handheld mobile terminal, but the fields that need to be filled out seem to keep changing. Why?
Answer: STS provides for configuring certain data requirements for each inventory item. These options depend upon the version of STS you are using, and can include: Serial Number, Lot Number, Expiration Date, Work Order & Account Number.
So, depending upon whether or not these options are required for an inventory item, these fields may or may not appear in the Check Out or Return function fields for that item. (This is true if the item is checked out or returned from either the handheld mobile data terminal or the main PC STS application.)
