Duplicate Barcode – Message indicates barcode is in use
Question: I’m trying to enter Employee barcodes, but I keep getting a message on one barcode that it is in use. There is no other employee that has that barcode.
Answer: Every barcode in the system is unique. That includes location, employee and part, asset, or inventory number. Check and see that the same barcode you want to use for the employee is not already in use as a location, part, asset, or inventory number.
